ABout SMIP RANCH PRODUCE
SMIP Ranch Produce is a private farm located in the hills above Woodside that grows ingredients exclusively for Bacchus Management Group's family of restaurants. A partnership between the landowner and Bacchus allows for five acres of the land to produce custom-grown ingredients, grown naturally, specific to the chefs' needs.
The hyper-seasonal produce is made available to you through a weekly CSA program. Boxes are filled with a rotating selection of farm-fresh ingredients, and delivered to three Bay Area pick-up spots: Spruce, in San Francisco; The Village Pub, in Woodside; Mayfield Bakery & Cafe, in Palo Alto. Stay tuned, as we are looking to add a few more locations for the 2017 season!
Weekly and seasonal subscriptions are available. The season typically runs through November (our last regular-season box). The price per box is $28, or seasonal subscription AQ. Pick-up occurs every Wednesday between 1 and 6 p.m.
Bacchus Management Group is a San Francisco-based restaurant group that owns and operates several restaurants in the Bay Area. In addition to its award-winning restaurants, Bacchus boasts a custom coffee company in Oakland, RoastCo.; a proprietary line of spirits and wines; a wholesale bakery, Mayfield Bakery & Cafe; and, of course, SMIP Ranch.
Bacchus' restaurants include two one-star Michelin-starred restaurants, Spruce, located in San Francisco's prestigious Presidio Heights neighborhood, and The Village Pub, in Woodside. Mayfield Bakery & Cafe is a full-service restaurant and bakery, located in Palo Alto. The Saratoga, a bar and restaurant, located in San Francisco's Tenderloin district. The group also has four Pizza Antica locations. In summer 2017, Bacchus looks forward to welcome Woodside-based The Village Bakery to their family.
